This is an alternate ending or rather a what-if to Labour, one of Rinku's characters.

As Labour embraced her death at the hands of Mihron, she died with a smile on her face. She had so far since her imprisonment at the hands of that nightmarish Clone Warrior, surely it was all over now? However, there are never any ends, simply new beginnings.

She opened her eyes to find herself still in her plain hoodie and jeans, but barefoot. She looked around in surprise, she was in the Infinite Fields of Thought. Her insecurities creeping up at first, she manages to calm herself down as she recognizes a pattern here.

“Glad to see you not in panic, Labour,” a familiar voice said behind her. She turned around in brief shock and saw DVB, standing there, his arm crossed and a proud look on his face.

“Well, looks like we’re both dead…” DVB began, causing Labour to have a face of shock and slight horror. “Don’t worry, this is limbo. Seriously, would spending your afterlife with me really be that bad?” he asked, his eyebrow raised. She opened her mouth to say something, but then closed it, her face red. “Then why am I here?” she asked.

DVB sighed and looked at the sky.

“Very few people are given a choice. When I died, I spent a brief tenure in the afterlife before taking… a business trip elsewhere,” he began. “…First of all, I apologize for any grief, anxiety or anger I caused you. I guess it was wrong of me to make you try and face your darkness when you weren’t ready or because you didn’t trust me enough…” he said with a somewhat sad smile. Labour’s face gained a subtle frown as she wondered what he meant. She recalled what Wep said about DVB willing to sacrifice everything for his friends… perhaps he also wanted friends to have the same trust in him as he had in them?

“…Anyway, you were normally supposed to die. However, since AM brought you back, Mihron wanted to make sure you redied. Here is the problem. Why would he need to? Since we defeated AM, it’s like none of this ever happened, so you never died,” he said, trying to explain the best he could. With the timeline reset, why would she needed to die, then again, anyone involved with Jaden usually had different rules... The same worked with him., he supposed…

“I am offering you a choice. You can go to the afterlife and be done… or I take your place…” he said cryptically. She had a questioning look on her face.

“Because of the reset, I have never died either… however, when I died, I was, in a way, not me,” he began, but then closed his mouth. The look on his face revealed he really couldn’t explain it.

“I don’t much about you, except you suffered a lot. I can’t stand to see my friends suffer. I suppose it is life that we all suffer. But our suffering is just so we don’t become conceited. However, suffering is not just if all we get is grief. Some people may say that is just how life is, but who are we to contemplate life? I admit I am a mere mortal, having the immense luck to see what I was able to see. I guess I never feared death, I feared letting people down. I feared that I would be lost to the sands of time. Looking back, that is only a show of pride, the most dangerous of sins. I guess what I am trying to offer you is a sort of compensation for your suffering…” he said.

‘Canon’ Ending:

Labour was in shock and deep thought. Would she want a new chance? A new life? She assumed it would be on a new world with Magostra destroyed. She also guessed the medallion would still be with her. She closed her eyes and allowed memories of her friends flood her head. Yes… I suppose it is enough… she though before she looked at DVB and shook her head.

DVB just sighed. “Thanks for denying my retirement,” he said in a joking manner before hugging Labour. Normally she would panic and throw him off, but the shock was too much for her to do anything. She did notice a warm sensation on her neck. The cursed ‘hickey’ DX gave her, the one that branded her a failure was gone. She then felt light.

Her body was fading in to a glittering dust. She couldn’t move, only feel a warm feeling spreading around her body. She looked back at her comrade/friend and saw there were tears in his eyes, but a smile on his face. “I’m gonna miss you. There will be a few people waiting for you… Adios, Labour the Digger…” he said as he stood in the fields alone, Labour having disappeared.

Labour was floating. Why couldn’t she see? Is this the afterlife?
Open your eyes A voice sounding oddly like DVB told her in her head…
She opened them and they widened. She was in shock. She suddenly felt something splash on her hands… tears… her tears… she blinked, making sure she wasn’t hallucinating… Upon realizing she wasn’t, her face split into a happy grin…
Mom… Dad…

Alternate Ending:

Labour was in shock and deep thought. Would she want a new chance? A new life? She assumed it would be on a new world with Magostra destroyed. She also guessed the medallion would still be with her. She closed her eyes and allowed memories of her friends to flood her head. She then remembered her childhood. Her early years… the nightmarish toil as a digger… her time as a Member of the Revolving Light… and her time as a D…

Could she do this? Could she live out a normal life? Although she had a normal life until 6, she was still filled with her insecurities… But she looked into DVB’s eyes and then she looked at the necklace he wore… Even though he lost his loved one, why did he go on? Was it duty? Was it he wanted to protect? Then she remembered what was it the necklace represented: Hope.

Her years under the toil robbed her of her hope. But it would be wrong to admit she wasn’t without hope. Because it was that faint glimmer people would throw themselves to accomplish. Without hope, there would be no cause, there would be doing, but without purpose. She was a mere mortal and yet… there was that faint glimmer, even within her.

She wasn’t sure what to do. She wished someone would help her. Flashes of her friends appeared in her head… They would want her to be happy… she still felt the dart Citris gave her in her pocket… Would this make her happy… she looked at DVB and slowly nodded.

DVB’s eyes widen in shock before hugging Labour. Normally she would panic and throw him off, but the shock was too much for her to do anything. She did notice a warm sensation on her neck. The cursed ‘hickey’ DX gave her, the one that branded her a failure was gone. She then felt light. She looked at him once more, his body disappearing into faint glittering dust. He took the medallion and it glowed as well. When she took it from his hand, it changed, no longer having the DVB Symbol on it. A simple L stood there along with the symbol of the Revolving Light.

Her eyes widened at the sight of this and DVB opened the medallion. Inside were two pictures, one was of with her family before her loss of innocence and was of her happy times with the Revolving Light. She assumed he did this as a gift. She didn’t say anything, but her one of her own tears slid off as DVB smiled for the last time and faded into the wind. She then felt heavy with her mortal exhaustion and fell down slowly.

She was woken to see Weapondor, still in his humanoid form looking over her, a face filled with worry. She could also see the Don standing there as well as Sorcoros, Toxica and the two children they rescued. She managed to sit up and look around. They were on Eternos. However, Malluna was nowhere to be found. She looked at where Magostra was. She then felt a sensation in her pocket. The medallion. She grabbed hold of it and closed her eyes. Wep’s shouts of shock cause her to open them. Particles of light, billions of them swirled all around them before converging on one point. A flash of light later and her jaw dropped. Right there was a new world. A 2nd chance.

An small asteroid approached Eterna. It was the size of a car and stopped above them. The others got on. Was this an extension of her powers? She thought. Her head heavy with thoughts, she got on the asteroid and headed for the new world.

10 Years Later…

Labour looked on about how the New Magostra was doing. She would go around the world on a rock platform. She had grown a bit taller and let her hair grow out a bit longer, but she still had on her trademark hoodie.

After her round of inspection, she would go to her home, a farm on Eternos, now renames Lusaforia. She was content with her life. The only person she saw regularly was Wep. The others disappeared to train in some of the most far-off places. She would often daydream about how the others are. She didn’t get into any accidents yet because of daydreaming, though as Wep put it, it would make it all the more surprising.

While she the rest as friends per say, the closest one that would count as friend would be Weapondor. Everyone else was too busy elsewhere.

“Oy Labour… you alright?” Wep said as she snapped out of her nostalgia. “You promised you would let me take you for an ice cream,” he said. Despite all that has happened, he still has a bit of carefree nature. She simply sighed, but smiled. She nodded and followed him onto an asteroid. She hoped no one said they were a couple again. She had grown into an attractive young lady, however, she wasn’t interested in looking for anyone. Or maybe, she was still waiting… hoping for that someone… Someone say it would be odd, but as her former D said, we all had hoped…for that is what drives us.

True Facts Ending:

And then there was death. What happens after it, nobody knows, except those dead of course. Many cultures have made up their own after life, so arguments often erupt on which one is 'true'. The answer is Yes. All of them, all real. Don't put too much thinking into how that works with meeting friends in the afterlife that have different faiths. Just don't, because no answer will make sense to a living person.

Sometimes, in the bureaucracy of Death, a mistake is made in the paperwork.

A girl found herself, out of no where, in a massive field. She looked around, confused. She is one of those mistakes, the one named Labour. No doubt she was supposed to end up in a quiet afterland, of peach and quiet, and maybe more quiet. She looked around, and begun walking to see where she ended up. Labour walked up a hill and looked over the peek, and was taken by surprise.

She was sent to a Warrior Afterworld. Like Valhalla, but not that specific one.

Warriors that looked to be from many different lands, and even worlds, were all in pitched combat. All of them people that enjoyed battle in life, and were no enjoying a risk free endless scuffle for their afterlife. Labour gulped, and began to turn away from the battle. She was walking down the mountain and away from the battle when-

"You lass!"

She turned quickly to the voice behind her, and almost whimpered. The man looked, ancient. Not just old, but as if he was from days of long ago, history pouring from his body. To those in the know, he looked very much like an Aztec priest.

"Wh-what," she stuttered.

"Come, you are missing your afterlife," the man said.

"I th-think I might be in the, the wrong place," she answered.

"Tell me, girl, in your life, did you know a boy that referred to himself as member of the D clan?" Labour, remembering the boy named DVB and his demented servant Wepondor, nodded in a frightened manner. "Hahahaha," the priest chuckled "then you are in the right place! You see those out there, all those in battle?" Labour nodded, "all of those are the D Clan, but now powerless in this world, and all of us," the priest put one hand on his chest and with the other pointed to the other crowed fighting, "are those who the D Clan gave endless grief to. Come, child, and give revenge apon the clan that annoys all those that come to know them!" Labour shook her head."

"No, I, I don't like fighting," she looked at her feet.

"OH come now, lass," the priest said, "you don't have to stay forever," Labour looked up, confused, "For us annoyed, this is supposed to be a temporary place, to get revenge and to release out pent up anger on the clan themselves. They stay here, we do not have to, but," the priest tapped his nose and smiled, "most of us chose to stay, because it's just that great."

In the end, Labour agreed to stay for just a little while. Eventually, she gathered up herself enough to enter the fight, and found none other than DVB himself and gave him a good kick. When she left, she felt a little better, and thus she went to the afterworld that was really to become her resting place, which is not in my jurisdiction.

Technically, this whole thing isn't, but that does not matter.

COOL END

The only thing that actually rings true in this entire little story.

Orrrrr, you know. She could be dead. For good. And who's to say she died with a smile on her face? For all we know, Mihron gutted her clean, and that's really no reason to be grinning. Unless you enjoy it or something, I dono.

Quote :
She opened her eyes to find herself still in her plain hoodie and jeans, but barefoot. She looked around in surprise, she was in the Infinite Fields of Thought. Her insecurities creeping up at first, she manages to calm herself down as she recognizes a pattern here.
ALL HER INSECURITIES, FEARS AND BAD FEELINGS WENT AWAY, EFFECTIVELY MAKING HER AS INTERESTING AS ONE OF MY OWN CHARACTERS!

Quote :
“Glad to see you not in panic, Labour,” a familiar voice said behind her. She turned around in brief shock and saw DVB, standing there, his arm crossed and a proud look on his face.
Panic? Why would she panic? Not like her creepy stalker just popped up out of nowhere or anything. Naw, not at all. That'd be totally irrational.

“Well, looks like we’re both dead…” DVB began, causing Labour to have a face of shock and slight horror. “Don’t worry, this is limbo. My, DVB must die all the time if he's taking this so well. Someone count for me how many heroic sacrifices DVB has made over the course of all the RPs he's been in. I'm quite curious.

“Don’t worry, this is limbo. Seriously, would spending your afterlife with me really be that bad?” he asked, his eyebrow raised.
YOU ARE A RAPIST PLEASE GOD SAVE ME.

Holy shit, did you ACTUALLY acknowledge that you put an already fucked up person through a situation that she clearly didnt want and could easily fuck her over more? Wow. I'm almost proud of you. Almost.

Thanks for explaining something that happened through the course of the RP. I'm guessing your mention of 'anyone involved with Jaden' was a shot at me for being okay with killing off my characters. And it's not a reset timeline, it's a white zone. Big fucking difference there. You'd rather start fresh and brand new, seeing how you have a new DVB every five minutes. I prefer a nice story that eventually ends without a bullshit reincarnation or something. That's boring. Give my character an excellent and fitting death anytime over keeping the same one around forever.

Quote :
“I am offering you a choice. You can go to the afterlife and be done… or I take your place…” he said cryptically. She had a questioning look on her face.
That wasnt cryptic at all. Actually, it was pretty straightforward, come to think of it.

Quote :
“Because of the reset, I have never died either… however, when I died, I was, in a way, not me,” he began, but then closed his mouth. The look on his face revealed he really couldn’t explain it.
No no, you're pretty much the same all throughout. Silly DVB, thinking he has character development.

Quote :
“I don’t much about you, except you suffered a lot. I can’t stand to see my friends suffer. I suppose it is life that we all suffer. But our suffering is just so we don’t become conceited. You dont what? Just gonna assume you forgot to put in 'know' and move on. I dont remember a time Labour and DVB were really friends, or allies in battle come to think of it. Oh, spoiler alert, people can suffer and still be conceited. It can happen! WOOOOOOH. Pride is the most dangerous of sins? I would put mass genocide up above pride, but pride can be bad sometimes. Then again, it's funny to think of DVB being worse than Hitler because he showed a bit of pride (THE WORST OF ALL SINS)

Quote :
‘Canon’ Ending:
Bullshit. It's not canon. You wrote it.

Quote :
Labour was in shock and deep thought. Would she want a new chance? A new life? She assumed it would be on a new world with Magostra destroyed. She also guessed the medallion would still be with her. She closed her eyes and allowed memories of her friends flood her head. Yes… I suppose it is enough… she though before she looked at DVB and shook her head.
Actually, her first thought would be something along the lines of "Holy shit, this guy's nuts." but we all know how you do with getting our characters personalities. And no, she would not think about that medallion. She knows it'd just follow her everywhere, after all, whenever she tries to get rid of it, it just comes RIGHT BACK to her.

Quote :
DVB just sighed. “Thanks for denying my retirement,” he said in a joking manner before hugging Labour. Normally she would panic and throw him off, but the shock was too much for her to do anything. She did notice a warm sensation on her neck. The cursed ‘hickey’ DX gave her, the one that branded her a failure was gone. She then felt light.
Dear lord, how did you get rid of the failure hickey? And for that matter, when the fuck did she even get that hickey? And why the fuck was it a hickey in the first place!? And I really have no reason to mention that she would have gotten the fuck away from DVB at this point. The whole 'I dont know you, dont touch me' thing really sticks out in her personality.

Quote :
Her body was fading in to a glittering dust. She couldn’t move, only feel a warm feeling spreading around her body. She looked back at her comrade/friend and saw there were tears in his eyes, but a smile on his face. “I’m gonna miss you. There will be a few people waiting for you… Adios, Labour the Digger…” he said as he stood in the fields alone, Labour having disappeared.
Why will you miss her? You didnt even KNOW her, for Christ's sake. You're worse than Kenshiro, crying at the drop of a hat over people you dont know. 'Cept, unlike Kenshiro, your character isnt badass. And I like how you managed to stick her title in there. About the only thing you did right in this entire thing. It's a lame title, but what can you expect? She digs. It's what she does best.

Quote :
Labour was floating. Why couldn’t she see? Is this the afterlife?

Mom… Dad…
Okay, so... She heard DVBs voice and opened her eyes to see her parents? Holy shit, that would be so terrifying. Imagine losing your parents at a young age, and reconnecting them in death. You're happy to see them, SO happy. Then they speak in the voice of your creepy as fuck stalker. Jesus, Labour would probably start crying at this point.

Quote :
Alternate Ending:
And thank God it is.

Her early years… the nightmarish toil as a digger… her time as a Member of the Revolving Light… and her time as a D…
Blahblahblahblah, wait, when was she a D? To be a D, you need to Godmod like no other, have descendants and ancestors save the day, have casual conversations on hoverboard, and force yourself onto vulnerable women. By that account, she is the farthest thing from a D you can get.

Quote :

Blah blah blah, DVBs eyes are made of lies and slander, DONT BELIEVE THEM. Wait, I didnt even know DVB had a necklace or anything. Das weird. ANOTHER UNEXPLAINED PLOT POINT THAT SHOWS UP AT THE LAST SECOND!

Quote :

Christ, how long will this go on for?

Wait, did you just copy and paste from the 'CANON' ending? Jesus. Same thing I said there applies. And on another note, I dont think the Revolving Light really has a symbol. Never gave it one in Arpygi, and I didnt give it one for its RP sequel. Just a sidenote.

Quote :
Her eyes widened at the sight of this and DVB opened the medallion. How the fuck did you get pictures of her and her family n' friends? That's BEYOND creepy. Really. Also, DVB finally dead. If it were permanent, I'd make this alternate ending the canon one.

...Jus' sayin.

AND THEY WERE ALL BLINDED BY THE PARTICLES OF LIGHT. At least, they would be, if Weapondor wasnt still floating around in space, Sorcoros was eaten, Toxica her back snapped and bullet filled brain and Don partially digested. Yeah, that shit's still canon. Forever. A-HEE.

Actually, Weapondor'd be the first one she'd avoid. You even asked me how Labour'd be if she decided to be the next 'D' or whatever and I said, "SHE WILL AVOID EVERYONE." And you make her interact with the creepiest one of your characters. Taking back that proud feeling I had earlier. Feel ashamed.

AGAIN. NOT WEAPONDOR. NEVER WEAPONDOR. HE'S A CREEP. A RAPIST CREEP. I WILL REPEAT THIS EVERY DAY IF I HAVE TO. I'd rather not though, so dont contact me about the previous CAPSLOCK statement.

No, she is not waiting for a man. Really, she isnt. At this rate, she'd rather be alone and just be the D or whatever. Keep out of trouble and whatnot. And since this is a planet is all of your characters, she would definitely be terrified to even leave her house. 'Specially with that Weapondor fellow around. Also...

SO, that's it. I've dissected this lil' story of yours and had a lotta fun doing it. I guess if I had any last words for you, I should say em now but EH. I got nothing. Just stay away from the internet and people will like you more. Or not.
