Between this world's many lands is an ocean. Like most worlds with plenty of water. Like those other worlds this sea also has salt, so no drinking it.

I stood on the boat, enjoying the sea breeze and gentle rocking of the waves. "Well, I'm ready for this," I said after a long period of silence. "Rita, Chris, you guys alright," I asked them.

I was standing at the side of the boat, looking over its edge into the deep waters. We had been sailing now for a good amount of time, but there really hadn't been much activity, save for a few fish splashing about. I glanced down at the bow laying at my feet. I had barely even looked at the thing since I got it, and I still had pretty much no idea how to use it. I picked it up gingerly with one hand, and pulled the directions that had come with it out of my pocket with the other. I scanned over them again, took an arrow out of the bag, and put it in the bow. Aiming out at the sea, I shot it, slightly surprised at how far it flew before sinking into the water. I turned my head to DVB, who was standing on the other side of the boat, "I'm fine, just trying to learn how to use this thing." I said with a smile.

"That's really good, we'll definitely be able to take out the squid with your talent," I said with his own smile as he looked at the open sea. "I wonder why we came here," I asked.

I stifled a laugh, "You can't be serious." I replied in a sarcastic voice, "I've held this thing twice since getting here, and I'm no prodigy." I set my things down and then walked over to DVB, "Well, we're here on this boat to kill a squid version of Moby Dick, but I have no idea why we're actually here."

Chris looked at the two awkwardly, almost if he was interrupting something. A mischievous smile erupted on his face. That's EXACTLY what I'll do!, he thought, then jumped into the space between DVB and Rita. "I know why we're here!" He exclaimed, grabbing one of Rita's hands and one of DVB's hands. He began jumping up and down before he said, "We're like, the digi-destined of this world!"

I was honestly a little surprised when Chris jumped in and grabbed my hand, but when he mentioned Digimon, I had a brain spasm of happiness, "Oh my gosh, that would be so amazing! I want a cute little monster buddy!" I exclaimed, "I think that would even explain this giant squid we're hunting!" I removed my hand from his, and clasped mine together, "Oh, I want something cute, but shadowy and kinda evil at the same time." That one simple comparison caused my view of this strange world became much more hopeful and optimistic. Maybe this would be a good experience after all.

Not exactly. In the distance some seagulls rested on the water. They seemed very restless and flew away when the ship came closer. The gulls must have knew something was going to happen, and wanted to get the heck out of dodge.

"MONSTER HOOOO!" Captain Grogchug yelled while pointing to were the seagulls once were, "To arms! To arms!"
