Beep, beep, beep!Sheila moaned and rolled over in her bed, covering her head with her blankets in an attempt to block out the sound coming from her clock. She stuck out an arm and slammed down hard on the electronic device's snooze button. It must have been the twentieth time this morning she had repeated the action, and that was no exaggeration. Her thoughts were muddy, and her headache was horrible, oh how she hated hangovers. She decided it wasn't worth it to stay in bed anymore just to be interrupted every ten minutes by the annoying buzzing sound. She sat up and sighed, rubbing her eyes with her palms. For the first time this morning she actually took a look at the clock to see what time it was. It read: 12:07.
"Holy fuck! Twelve o'clock...?" she said shocked. Had she seriously slept past noon? She struggled to drag her hungover butt out of bed and into the one small bathroom in her apartment. She was slightly shocked at her appearance in the mirror,
"I look like hell." she mumbled. She turned on the cold water and splashed her face, trying to wash away some of the fogginess from her brain. It did wake her up a little, but her head still hurt. She reached into her medicine cabinet and popped two aspirin into her mouth. She went through the rest of her morning routine, taking a shower, getting dressed, and fixing her hair. Deciding to get breakfast in the city, Sheila skipped that part of her routine and headed straight out. She muttered a few unenthusiastic greetings to some of her neighbors, not really feeling in the mood to converse with anyone. She rummaged through her purse on the way, noticing she only had about two-hundred dollars left. She mumbled something about getting a job later, but she doubted she would actually remember.
